My Name is
Stacy Emmerling; I was born and raised in Arkansas. I'm currently a freshman at
Henderson State University. I am a Physical Education Major and I also plan to
coach a high school cross country team. I have run cross country and track from
middle school until now. I attended Bryant High School, where i lettered all four years in both track and crosscountry. My first season of college cross country was last
semester and i performed really well. I beat my personal record from high
school by 30 seconds and i am first in line here at Henderson.
Running cross country is not just a sport to me; it’s more like a passion. In this blog i will write almost every day about what i eat, when i run, and post about my life as being normal everyday college student a serious cross country runner. I am new to this so please go easy on me.
I am a really competitive person when it comes
to sports. I grew up in the country with two brothers, one older and one
younger. I am the only female and the middle child. When my brothers and I
would play, they took everything as a competition plus we played sports our whole life, so that is why i would say i am so
competitive. If i don’t compete to the best i want, I go out and train harder.
Cross country is not an easy sport, to be good you have to endure pain, heat,
cold, rain, exhaustion, and sweat but when you come home with that shiny gold
or silver medal, it will all be worth it.
